Gladstone Elementary re-opening after suspected norovirus outbreak

CRANSTON, R.I. — The Cranston elementary school that closed after a suspected norovirus outbreak last week will re-open Monday.

The principal of Gladstone Street School sent an email to parents Sunday afternoon saying the school has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

Classes were cancelled Friday after nearly a third of the school’s 515 students called out sick Thursday and 50 more were dismissed early.
