Glocester Police arrest 3 after alleged restaurant burglary

GLOCESTER, R.I. (WLNE) — The Glocester Police Department said three people were arrested after an alleged burglary at a West Glocester restaurant on Oct. 13.

Police arrested and charged the following suspects:

  • 58-year-old James Spader, of East Providence, was charged with burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary, and larceny.
  • 44-year-old Thomas Manzo, of Glocester, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and four counts of possession of a high capacity feeding device.
  • 44-year-old Danielle Wooding, of Medway, Mass., was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

Police responded to Mr.Z’s Pizza and Restaurant on Putnam Pike for an alarm and reports of a person inside the building.

After reviewing security footage, officers allegedly observed the initial suspect inside the building, as well as a second suspect.

Police later conducted a traffic stop of an unregistered pickup truck on Route 44 and found three suspects in connection to the burglary.

After a search of the pickup truck and a residence, police allegedly seized over $400, liquor, and four rifles.

Manzo was arraigned and released on $20,000 personal recognizance.

Wooding was arraigned and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

Spading was arraigned and held without bail.

According to Glocester police, Spading has an “extensive criminal record and was presented as a bail violator” in connection to a previous charge on April.

Spading has a scheduled hearing date for Oct. 20.
