PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe has been established for a Brown University student who suffered two bullet wounds in Saturday’s mass shooting.

Brown freshman Matthew Wang was shot in the lung and lower body, and is in stable condition at this time.

Doctors are optimistic with his progress and outlook, but his injuries will require further treatment and rehab, according to the GoFundMe campaign established by Divya Raman and Huizhi Wang.

The campaign page says, in part:

Matthew is known for his gregarious spirit, sharp wit, and incredible talent. He was preparing for his finals and looking forward to completing his first semester at Brown when this tragedy occurred. His friends and family are heartbroken, but they are also deeply grateful for the outpouring of compassion, prayers, and support from the community.
