GoFundMe organized for family of 17-year-old girl killed in Fairhaven crash

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WLNE) — A GoFundMe was created for the family of a 17-year-old girl who died in a crash in Fairhaven on July 5.
Officers responded to the three-vehicle crash at Route 6 and Jeannette Street around 9:15 p.m. and discovered a 17-year-old girl had died in the crash.
According to the verified GoFundMe page, 17-year-old Marin was only two blocks away from her home when the crash occurred.
In the fundraiser, it described Marin as a “free spirit” who was looking forward to her senior year of high school.
The GoFundMe was created to help the family fund Marin’s memorial and services, as well as manage grief.
The fundraiser’s initial goal of $50,000 has been surpassed, with a total of over $57,000 raised.
