Goose causes nearly 6,000 to lose power in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Nearly 6,000 residents of East Providence lost power at around 6:45 on Thursday evening.

According to East Providence Police and Fire, it was a goose that caused the outage.

Police confirmed to ABC6 that a goose flew into a transformer causing about6,000 residents to be without power.

Power has since returned for most residents, but some are still without.
