Gov. McKee receives second COVID-19 booster following CDC guidance

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee received his second COVID-19 booster shot Friday following updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.
The CDC said Tuesday anyone 50-years-old or older could get a second booster — for both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and the shot can be given four month after the first.
The booster was administered at the State House by Dr. Phil Chan from the Department of Health.
Chan also gave a brief update on the CDC guidance related to second booster shots.
