Grand juror who leaked Karen Read information sentenced, was fired from job

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A grand juror in the second trial of Karen Read will spend two years on supervised release, including two months on house arrest.

34-year-old Jessica Leslie, from Dracut, pleaded guilty in August to disclosing information presented to the federal grand jury during the second trial.

The information leaked included the names of various witnesses, and the substance of witness testimony.

In the sentencing memorandum filed Thursday, it says Leslie was fired from her state job with the Department of Children and Families.
