The Tiverton and Fall River police officers involved in the shooting death of an 80-year-old man in June acted lawfully.

A grand jury has determined the officers were legally justified when they shot and killed Edward Acquisto after police say he killed an 81-year-old man, John Cloud.

According to police the two men met up in a Tiverton cemetery after Acquisto borrowed a lot of money from a church, and Cloud, the parishioner, met up with him to talk about it.

Police say Acquisto shot Cloud to death and was then killed by police.
