Greenville Water District lifts usage restrictions after water main break

GREENVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Greenville Water District announced Sunday they lifted usage restrictions but have yet to lift the water boil advisory.

According to the district, the water boil advisory that was put in place last week after a water main break caused concerns of bacteria in the water.

The district said as normal usage resumes, they will continue to test their distribution systems to monitor contaminants.

The district also urged residents to adhere to their voluntary odd-even watering schedule, as it is now mandatory until further notice.
