Grenade in Pawtucket determined to be fake

The Rhode Island State Police bomb squad was on scene at
Pawtucket Fire crews were originally called to the industrial laundry building, Lucky Laundry, for a minor fire when they discovered an object that appeared to be a grenade. To be safe, crews were evacuated and the bomb squad was called.
The grenade was determined to be a fake, novelty item. The scene was cleared just around 5 p.m.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
