HINGHAM, Mass. (WLNE)- A groundskeeper came to a squirrel’s rescue earlier this week, after the squirrel took a golf ball to the head.

The squirrel was hit by the golf ball while in a tree near Hole 5 of the South Shore Country Club’s golf course, according to a Facebook post by New England Wildlife Center.

After being struck, she fell from the tree and was luckily rescued by a nearby groundskeeper.

The groundskeeper brought the squirrel to the New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth for treatment, the post read.

The wildlife center treated the squirrel to decrease the inflammation in her brain.

According to the post, she was doing much better on Thursday and is expected to make a full recovery.
