Guatemalan national charged with cyberstalking, assault, indicted for illegal reentry

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Guatemalan man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on an illegal reentry charge, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

Jose Alejandro Morales Cordon, 37, who was deported from the United States in 2018, was identified by ICE through a biometric fingerprint match following his June arrest on state assault and cyberstalking charges. 

He will be arraigned in U.S. District court on July 28.
