Guilty verdict in 2016 murder of elderly Woonsocket woman
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A guilty verdict has been reached in the murder of an elderly Woonsocket woman.
Matthew Dusseault was found guilty of the March 2016 murder of Constance Gauthier.
He was also found guilty of assault and battery and torture.
Gauthier’s body was found in her home after her neighbor told police he saw her body through a window.
Police said the home was ransacked to make it look like there was a robbery, and forensic evidence had been tampered with.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
