Harvard responds to recent Trump administration actions against the university

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE) — Officials at Harvard University have released a statement regarding the DHS’ cancellations of grants and new scrutiny of foreign students.

The university said they’re aware of the department’s actions, but stand firm by its prior rhetoric, adding in part:

…Harvard will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights. We continue to stand by that statement.

We will continue to comply with the law and expect the administration to do the same.
