Harvard University shelter in place lifted after shots fired incident near campus
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE) — A shelter in place order has been lifted at Harvard University after reports of shots fired on Sherman Street in Cambridge.
According to Harvard University’s website, police were reporting that an unidentified male on a bicycle shot at another person on the street.
Harvard issued the shelter in place order shortly after the incident, with reports of the suspect headed toward Harvard Square.
Ballistic evidence was recovered by Cambridge police, according to the Harvard statement, and there are no known victims at this time.
