Health care workers protest at Governor McKee’s house over vaccine mandate

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) – Dozens of protesting the state’s vaccine mandate headed to Governor McKee’s front yard Friday evening.

There were tense moments outside the governor’s house, and State Police were there to keep things from getting out of hand.

The vaccine mandate went into effect exactly one week ago. The mandate required all health care workers in the state to get vaccinated against coronavirus or lose their jobs.

ABC6 News crews on scene saw two people getting taken into custody.
