HealthSource RI to Extend Contact Center Call Hours this Weekend

HealthSource RI (HSRI), the state’s health benefits exchange, announced it is adding Contact Center hours through this weekend.  

HealthSource RI’s Contact Center telecommunications carrier experienced an equipment malfunction that caused downed lines at the Contact Center yesterday. To ensure eligible Rhode Islanders who wish to sign up for coverage this year have the opportunity to get covered and avoid a tax penalty for 2016, the Contact Center will stay open late tonight and add weekend hours.

HealthSource RI’s extended weekend schedule at the Contact Center is:
 

Today, Friday, January 22:  8:30 am – 7 pm (Document and payment drop-off available until 5 pm)
Saturday, January 23:  8:30 am – 5:00 (Document and payment drop-off not available)
Sunday, January 23:  12:00 noon – 6pm (Document and payment drop-off not available)

Rhode Islanders have until January 23, to choose a plan and pay their first month’s premium for individual and family health coverage beginning on February 1, 2016. 

HealthSource RI is offering customers the ability to get coverage that starts February 1, 2016, if they miss the deadline due to recent difficulty getting through to our call center.  This opportunity is only available through February 8, 2016.  Please call 1-855-574-2846 for assistance.

Rhode Islanders have until January 31 to choose a plan for coverage beginning on March 1, 2016, and have until February 23 to pay their first month’s premium.
