“911 this line is recorded what is your emergency? There is some strange man banging on my door.

Imagine being home alone in the middle of the day and three men bust into your home.

It happened to a Seekonk woman on Tuesday.

“Hurry he’s in my house. How did he get in? I don’t know just hurry. Where are you? Upstairs in my bathroom.

Police say three men got spooked and sped off out of this driveway on Arcade Avenue in Seekonk. By then police were on scene.

“(We) tried to pull them over and they failed to stop right out of the blocks. Going over the marked lines to avoid hitting other cars,” Seekonk Police Chief Craig Mace said.

The car sped an estimated 60 miles per hour down Arcade past Seekonk High School before eventually swerving onto this lawn where four police vehicles were able to surround them.

Joseph Cocroft of Cranston, Miguel Cuevas of Pawtucket and Joesph Costa of Providence were all arrested and were in court today facing several charges.

Mace the dispatcher and a quick–thinking victim led to this arrest.

“She did a great job there is no two ways about it. Understandably very nervous and very upset when she made the call but she did a great job.”
