Man critically injured in shooting, suspect at large
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Police are investigating a shooting in the Elmhurst section of the City Wednesday evening.
Commander Thomas Verdi confirmed a 34-year-old man was shot several times inside of a Coggeshall Street home. The man was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where he is in critical condition.
Cmmdr. says the suspect is described as a ‘heavy-set Black male wearing all black.’
ABC6 News crews on scene saw police putting up crime scene tape and beginning an investigation.
A neighbor hold crews on scene that she heard a “loud pop.” The neighbor said first responders arrived at the scene shortly after.
