Residents evacuated due to incident in West Warwick
WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A heavy police presence was seen in a West Warwick neighborhood on Monday morning.
Police and tactical units were working a scene on Morris Street for around four hours.
According to neighbors, residents were called to evacuate out of their home around 8 a.m. and were able to return to their homes around noon.
West Warwick resident, Liette Lague said, “This is shocking, you just could not believe this would have happened. We are clueless and we are stunned by it.”
Details have not been released on the incident by police, however officials told crews on scene that the area was safe.
