Heavy rain & thunderstorms expected throughout the day
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — We have a flood watch for our area now through 8 a.m. Tuesday.
With the rain and thunderstorms moving through today, our biggest concern is we could see some localized flooding. The ground is oversaturated and the water has nowhere to go. Proceed with caution today, and do not go through roads that are flooded.
Timing out the rain today:
Expect the thunderstorms and rain to linger as we head into the evening hours, but tapering off in the overnight.
Rain chances this week wind down a bit but then increase as we head into the weekend.
