Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms on Tuesday
We will be in Stormtracker Alert mode on Tuesday as thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds set up across Southern New England.
Tonight, we’ll have a stray shower or two along with clouds and very muggy, mild conditions. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Tomorrow begins with a stray shower, clouds, and a muggy feel once again. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s. As we move into the later afternoon and evening, we’re keeping watch on some thunderstorms that could drive heavy rain and gusty winds. Isolated flash flooding is possible considering the amount of moisture at the atmosphere’s disposal. Make sure you’re staying weather aware, and a way to get Watches & Warnings (like your favorite weather app, or a NOAA radio).
Wednesday isn’t as uncomfortable, though we do keep a few showers around and perhaps a rumble of thunder. Highs will be cooler, in the upper 70s and low 80s. Thursday, while not a washout, also looks to bring us a few showers with a thunderstorm possible. Highs will be in the upper 70s.
Friday, the showers diminish. We’ll have one or two left over, but that’s about it. Highs will be in the upper 70s again.
