Henderson Bridge in Providence restricts tractor trailer traffic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence said on social media that the Henderson Bridge is temporality limited to car and SUV traffic only.

The city said that the limit is due to road construction and no tractor trailers or 18-wheelers are allowed.

“If you’re driving a tractor-trailer or 18-wheeler, please use the Pitman Street to Governor Street to Power Street detour route,” the city added.
