Here’s what you need to know ahead of the Army-Navy game at Gillette Stadium

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Army-Navy game will come to New England for the first time its 124-year history this weekend.
Gillette Stadium is getting ready for the big day, painting the field for the historic occasion.
This year, the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy will be on the line. Army will either capture the trophy outright with a victory, or Navy will earn a share of the trophy with a win.
Stadium officials said the trophy is earned each year by whichever of the service academies — Air Force, Army, or Navy — takes the record in their respective annual matchups.
The game will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday. Parking lots will open at 9 a.m. and gates will open at 11 a.m.
The venue offers general parking for all ticket holders.
The official Army-Navy game fan fest will be open for ticket holders from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fans will be able to take photos with U.S. Army tanks and U.S. Navy boats and take part in giveaways and activities.
The fan fest will be free and open to the public from 5 p.m. until the end of the New England Patriots game on Thursday, Dec. 7 and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8.
The traditional March On of the Brigade of Midshipmen, followed by the Corps of Cadets, will start at 12:10 p.m. with pregame activities leading up to kickoff.
Stadium officials said that people should give themselves plenty of travel time on event days.
Traffic restrictions will be in place on local roads near Gillette Stadium before and after the game.
Fans who use local roads will run into delays due to road closures that will not be picked up by traffic and navigation maps. People must use Interstate 95, Interstate 495, or Route 140 to access Route 1 and Gillette Stadium.
The MBTA special event train tickets to the game from Boston are sold out, but a limited number of tickets for the Providence trains are on sale only through the mTicket app.
Fans must purchase a return trip special event train ticket that corresponds with the right train in order to get on postgame.
Stadium officials reminded fans of the clear bag policy, which will be in effect at the game like other events held at Gillette.
Clear bags can be no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ and non-clear bags like a wristlet or wallet can be no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″. Backpacks and devices like selfie sticks will not be allowed.
