Aaron Hernandez caught with shank in prison cell

Convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez is getting some new digs after getting caught having a weapon inside his cell.

Multiple sources reporting Friday that the one-time Patriots star was thrown in a segregated unit after guards discovered a shank-like weapon in his cell, inside the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

This isn’t the first time Hernandez has been in trouble while on the inside. Back in August, he was involved in a fight with another inmate.

Hernandez is slated to spend the rest of his life behind bars for the murder of Odin Lloyd. He’s also awaiting trial on charges he gunned down two men in 2012 after an encounter at a Boston nightclub. That trial is scheduled to start early next year.
