Lawyers for Aaron Hernandez want copies of any surveillance of ex-New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez made while they were at a local police station after Odin Lloyd’s body was discovered.

The defense asked Tuesday that copies of any video and audio recordings from the North Attleborough police station be turned over. A court filing says there “may or may not be” recordings made without the parties’ consent and that the surveillance could violate attorney-client privilege, Hernandez’s due process rights and Massachusetts’ wiretapping statute.

A state trooper testified during a recent motion hearing that police were able to discern through a video recording a number Hernandez dialed on a phone while he was outside with his attorneys.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the fatal shooting of Lloyd in June 2013.
