FALL RIVER, MA- For the first time ever, Shayanna Jenkins admitted she threw that mysterious black box into a dumpster after her fiancé, Aaron Hernandez told her to get rid of it.

“I disposed of it,” said Jenkins.

That box may have contained marijuana, ammunition, or the gun used to kill Odin Lloyd.

Shayanna says Hernandez called her the day after the murder to get rid of it. She put it in a black trash bag along with baby clothes and left their North Attleboro home in her sister’s car.

She says she nervously drove around North Attleboro, Foxboro, and Plainville– before dumping it in a residential area. She claims she doesn’t know exactly where she dumped the box.

Jenkins says she thought marijuana was inside the box.

Today is the only time Shayanna was emotional on the stand when her relationship with Hernandez was questioned.

She held back tears, testifying that she allowed Hernandez to cheat on her in order to make the relationship work. She wasn’t happy with his late night partying but hoped it would stop.

Shayanna was also questioned about shoes that were removed from the home- shoes Hernandez wore the night of the murder. She says she may have re-arranged the closet, but didn’t remove the shoes.

Shayanna was granted immunity for testifying today, but she still faces perjury charges for lying to the grand jury. That case will resume once this trial end.
