High humidity continues for the foreseeable future
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Despite easing temperatures Wednesday, our *Heat Advisory* has been extended for another day.
First, low clouds and fog will be quite prevalent during the early morning hours, especially at the shore where some could be dense.
It will be a mostly cloudy day, which explains the lower temperatures – but with sky-high dew points, it will feel like the low to mid-90s, especially in the afternoon when some sun breaks out.
Thursday and Friday look fairly similar, with variably cloudy skies and a few scattered showers. Temperatures away from the water will be in the mid-80s and will continue with high humidity.
The shower threat carries into the start of the weekend, but right now Saturday afternoon into Sunday looks dry and with increasing sun. But the hot stuff is coming back along with it.
Highs of 90° or higher will be back Sunday through the middle of next week, so summer’s overbearing touch isn’t going away anytime soon!
