PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — There are multiple free holiday events being held in Rhode Island this weekend.

Check out the list below for details:

  • Bristol – Bristol’s Grand Illumination
    • What: Kick off the holiday season with the lighting of the town Christmas tree.
    • Where: 400 Hope Street, Bristol RI 02809
    • When: December 7 at 5:30 p.m.
  • East Providence – 5th annual Tree Lighting
    • What: The event will feature food, vendors, hot cocoa, music and performances, photos with Santa and an inaugural bonfire for residents to stay warm and celebrate the holiday season with friends, loved ones and our community.
    • Where: City Hall Plaza, 145 Taunton Ave. East Providence, RI 02914
    • When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at 4 PM, Santa will arrive at 6 PM
  • Narragansett – Holiday Street Faire
    • What: Visit Santa, Lobster Pot Tree, Christmas photos, Christmas shopping, live music, bake sale, etc.
    • Where: 170 Clarke Road, Narragansett, RI
    • When: Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Providence – Three Nights of Lights
    • What: Winter market with local artists, a Santa’s village for children to take photos with Santa, meet and greet with characters from ‘Ballet RI’, food vendors, performers, WaterFire. 
    • Where: Partial lighting: Rhode Island School of Design and Memorial Park.
    • Where: Other events: Market Square
    • When: Thursday Dec. 5 to Saturday Dec. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Scituate – Annual Scituate Village Candlelight Stroll
    • What: Storytime with Santa, comfort dogs, village shops, food trucks, local performers.
    • Where: 606 W. Greenville Road, North Scituate, RI 02857
    • When:  Friday, Dec. 6 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7 from 2 p.m. to 5:30p.m.
  • Tiverton – Bright Night 2024
    • What: 11th annual re-tree, carolers, hot cocoa, local galleries and boutiques
    • Where: 3850 Main Road, Tiverton, RI 02878
    • When: Dec. 6- Dec. 20, starts at 6 p.m.
  • Warwick – National Gold & Diamond Presents: The Magic of Christmas
    • What: Photos with Santa, food trucks, live music, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping with local vendors, beer and wine garden, etc.
    • Where: National Gold & Diamond, 55 Access Road, Warwick, RI 02886
    • When: Sunday, December 8, from 2pm – 6pm
  • Woonsocket – 16th annual Woonsocket Main Street Holiday Stroll
    • What: Reindog parade, scavenger hunt, trolley rides, hot cocoa, etc.
    • Where: Main Street to Market Square in Woonsocket
    • When: Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
