Hope Valley firefighters extinguish power pole blaze

HOPKINTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District said it responded to a pole fire near Chariho High School Saturday morning.

The department said the pole was “well involved” and traffic had to be diverted from the area.

It added that drivers should expect traffic in the area as Rhode Island Energy works to correct the damage.
