Several horses are safe after a barn collapse in Rehoboth trapped them inside.

And I started looking more and looked past it there was no more roof,” owner Ron Magliocco said. “Then I ran inside and check in my horses that were back here and thank god they were alright.”

Three horses were pulled from the barn and no injuries have been reported.

The building is a total loss yes. I am going to order it unsafe and I am going to order it to be demolished,” Rehoboth building inspector Thomas Nerney said.

Maglioccos has room for two of the three horses in his other barn and he’s hired a crew to remove snow from that roof.

He is currently looking for a temporary home for the third. Though the entire ordeal will cost him money, in lost business and to rebuild, Magliocco is grateful it was not worse

Rescue crews initially had trouble getting up the long driveway due to the snow, but a plow from the city’s highway department was able to clear the way.
