Hottest weather of the summer on the way

“Just like a heatwave!” One of my favorite songs by Martha & the Vandellas. And very descriptive of our weather later this week.

While it may not be an official heatwave (3+ days of 90 degrees) it will still be hot. Humidity will be building as well, which will lead to some dangerous heat indices.

While it will be stifling at times, we are not expecting any record heat. This time of year, you’d need highs in the upper 90s on most days, and we will be in the low 90s at most in PVD.

As far as any rain goes, we will have PM pop-up chances on both Tuesday and Thursday. The best chance will be well inland.

On Saturday, a more potent system will approach. This front will bring storms Saturday afternoon and evening, while also ushering in cooler air for Sunday and Monday.

The front will stall just south of the area and will at least bring some more clouds in. Should it come further north, we could be looking at some rain.

Have a great night!
