“I’m just praying that somebody is pulling her out of the river right now,” said Hamaad Raza, whose wife was on the plane.

“She texted me that they were landing in 20 minutes. The rest of my text did, didn’t, did not get delivered.”

We’re also learning more about who else was on the passenger plane.

Russian media reports two Russian figure skaters were allegedly on board of the American Airlines plane.

US figure skaters and coaches returning from national championships were also aboard the flight, according to the US figure skating organization.

The organization says in in part:

Several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, DC. We are devastated by this unspeakable tragedy and hold the victims’ families closely in our hearts.

Washington DC’s mayor will provide another update at 7:30 Thursday morning.
