Human remains discovered in burning vehicle on Cape Cod

SANDWICH, Mass. (WLNE) — Human remains were discovered in a burning car in Sandwich yesterday, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.

Officials said a 911 call was made in the early morning hours, when a burned vehicle was discovered in the vicinity of Quaker Meeting House Road.

Upon local authorities responding to the call, human remains were discovered inside the burned vehicle.

Following a preliminary investigation, the District Attorney wanted to reassure the public that there is no threat to the public.
