‘Human skeletal remains’ found at job site in Barrington

BARRINGTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Barrington Police Department said that human skeletal remains were found on Elm Lane on Sept. 19.

The department received a report from contractor about possible human remains being found on a job site.

An analysis by the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the remains were human and the burial was not recent.

Police also responded to the same area on Sept. 20 to collect additional evidence.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact 401-437-3938.
