ICE arrests Honduran national facing child trafficking charges in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said agents arrested a Honduran national charged with child trafficking in Rhode Island.

Vivian Giselle Soriano-Neto was arrested by ICE agents in Providence on March 11.

According to ICE, Soriano-Neto was first arrested by ICE agents on Oct. 25, 2017 in California after she entered the country illegally.

ICE said Soriano-Neto was issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge on Nov. 9, 2017, and released on parole on Nov. 17, 2017.

Soriano-Neto was arrested by Providence police on Feb. 20, 2025, and charged with two counts of indecent solicitation of a child and trafficking of a minor.

The defendant remains in ICE custody.
