Identity of Wareham fireworks accident victim released

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz released the identity of the 70-year-old victim of a fireworks accident that occurred in Wareham on July 4.

Robert Spagnuolo was declared dead around 9:30 p.m. after suffering a facial injury.

Cruz said that Spagnuolo was setting off fireworks on Beach Street when one exploded in his face.

The investigation was still ongoing.
