Improving weather just in time for Easter Weekend

Rain will finally start to taper this morning. We picked up 1.5-2.5 inches of rain Thursday, and so rivers are slowly rising and expected back into the lower flood stages into the weekend.

Sunshine will break out Friday afternoon, turning breezy as well as we head into the weekend. Saturday looks bright and breezy with ample sunshine.

We are keeping an eye on a little piece of energy sliding southeast from the Great Lakes Saturday night that could graze Southern New England with some showers.

And rain would be likely gone in time for Easter sunrise services, and sun should increase throughout the day. Highs both days will be in the low to mid-50s.

Monday is dry but more rain is expected Tuesday and Wednesday, perhaps even lingering into Thursday.
