Increased Cranston home prices could also raise property taxes

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Property owners in Cranston could soon be paying more in property taxes.

Mayor Ken Hopkins says the city has seen an extraordinary increase in the price of homes, and property taxes should reflect those large increases.

Homeowners should review the notices and if you don’t agree with the increase, Hopkins says you can seek a review of the appraised value in the court system.
