Inmate altercation quelled at Intake Service Center in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island correctional officers responded to and resolved an altercation between several inmates at the Intake Service Center in Cranston Wednesday evening, according to the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.

The ISC was placed on temporary lockdown while correctional officers neutralized the situation, and inmates involved in the incident were temporarily removed from the general population and are now subject to disciplinary measures and criminal charges.
