Providence native and Grammy-nominated singer Jeffrey Osborne is once again bringing in some a-list  celebrities to McCoy Stadium next week for his 5th Annual Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Softball Game.

Magic Johnson, Smokey Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Chris Tucker, Dr. J and many more will be rounding the bases to raise money for Osborne’s foundation.

The game is at 7:00 Monday night.

Osborne says it’s a thrill to come back each year and raise money for local charities.

“It’s always exciting to come here .Born and raised here and it’s even more rewarding to give back to the charities we are giving to. There are some great charities. We’ve got the Boys and Girls Club, we’ve got the Saint Mary’s Home for Children, we’ve got the Amos House, we’ve got The Met School, we have Button Hole which is a little golf course here so it’s nice to get the kids involved in what we are doing."

The celebrities will stick around Tuesday for a golf tournament and dinner.

Osborne says he’s hoping to keep this going for years to come.
