Johnston fire displaces 11 residents

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Eleven people have been displaced Tuesday afternoon following a house fire in Johnston.

The fire was reported just before 8 a.m. on King Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the three-floor home.

Johnston’s fire chief said that all residents were able to get out safely, with no injuries reported.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents who are displaced.
