Johnston police searching for a car seen crashing through gate

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The Johnston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a car that was seen barreling through a gate this past weekend.

Police are investigating after surveillance footage caught a hit and run crash, leading to property damage.

The incident happened this weekend in the area of Atwood and Grenville Avenues.

Johnston police say they recovered car parts from the scene, and believe them to be from a 2016 Audi A6.
