A woman has been arrested after police say she struck and seriously injured a pedestrian in Scituate Tuesday night.
Police say 21-year-old Ryan Morgan, of North Kingstown, was going door-to-door for Verizon with a co-worker in the area of 177 Hope Furnace Road around 6:30 p.m., when they were struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
Morgan was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Scituate Police say they soon located the hit-and-run vehicle in the Community College of Rhode Island parking lot in Warwick. Authorities took 25-year-old Jaclyn Silvia, of Johnston, into custody.
Silvia is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury. She was arraigned and released on $10,000 Personal Recognizance.
Coventry Police and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation aided in the investigation.
