Judge to hear arguments in North Kingstown ‘naked fat checks’ coach case

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The case of former North Kingstown high basketball coach Aaron Thomas will be in court Monday.

Thomas was arrested last year after a months-long investigation by authorities into alleged naked fat checks he conducted on players.

Former students said the tests were done on school grounds.

Thomas denies the charges against him.

Monday a judge will hear a motion to compel, where both sides will present arguments over releasing requested information.

Thomas’s trial is expected to begin in march.
