Jury deliberations continue in North Kingstown ‘naked fat test’ trial

WAKEFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Jury deliberations continued Wednesday in the trial of Aaron Thomas.

The former North Kingstown coach is accused of performing “naked fat tests” on students.

One juror in the case was dismissed due to a “potential conflict of interest” and the only alternate was brought in.

If another alternate becomes needed, the trial would need to restart.

Thomas was charged with one count of second-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree sexual assault.

The jury has until 2 p.m. Wednesday to deliberate, and if a decision is not reached, the jury will have tomorrow to deliberate again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
