Juvenile facing additional charges after Revere Beach shootings

REVERE, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said the juvenile in custody in connection to two shootings that happened at Revere Beach is facing additional charges.

According to officials, as a result of the investigation into the double non-fatal shooting on the evening of May 28, the teen is facing two additional counts of assault and battery by means of discharging a firearm.

Authorities said the juvenile was previously charged with firearms offenses and has since been held after his dangerousness hearing on Monday.

Court records state the teenager fired a handgun during an altercation near one of the bathhouses on Revere Beach Boulevard. A 17-year-old was grazed by a bullet and a 51-year-old woman was shot in her lower-body.

The teen is expected to be arraigned on the new charges at a later date.
