Karen Read jury deliberation pauses as jurors raise questions for judge
DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Deliberations paused Tuesday afternoon after the jury raised questions in the murder retrial of Karen Read.
Judge Beverly Cannone said jurors had three questions:
- What is the time frame for the OUI charge?
- Are video clips evidence?
- Does convicting on a sub charge convict on the overall charge?
According to Boston affiliate WCVB, the judge will tell the jury video clips are evidence.
The judge also said she doesn’t feel comfortable giving a time stamp for the OUI if it’s not listed in the indictment.
The court has prepared amended instructions for the jury to answer their third question on sub charges, which the judge says she’ll walk the jury through.
