Karen Read to make courtroom appearance for hearing

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Karen Read is returning to the courtroom Tuesday for a motion hearing.

It’s Read’s first appearance since the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court declined to drop some of the charges ahead of her second trial.

Read is accused of hitting and killing her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe back in 2022.

Last week’s ruling from Massachusetts’ highest court keeps her case on track to go to trial again on April 1.
