Kenny Chesney adds second show at Gillette Stadium next summer

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Kenny Chesney added a second show at Gillette Stadium to close his “Sun Goes Down” tour next summer.

The country artist will perform his last two concerts of the tour in Foxborough on Friday, Aug., 23, 2024 and Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024.

Concert officials said the Saturday show was added to keep up with the demand of New England country fans.

They said Chesney is the only country artist to appear on Billboard’s “Top 10 Touring Artists of the Last 25 Years” for the last 14 years consecutively.

It has become a tradition for Chesney to play his last shows at Gillette.

The 2024 tour will feature Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale on Friday.
